python-sphere software package provides Python interface to the spherepack scientific library., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-sphere
python-sphere is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-sphere package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-sphere *
You will get with python-sphere package name, version, architecture and description in a table
